Our South Okanagan Wine Tour includes a relaxing trip along the steep golden slopes of our valley. Starting with Greata Ranch established in 1895 by British immigrant, George Greata -this property was later sold to the Long family.
Ten minutes from here stands Sumac Ridge where the wines are created with food in mind. Be sure to bring your camera for all our leisurely photo stops.
We will continue on to the magnificent Red Rooster Winery and Art Gallery, located inPenticton. Lunch is provided here on our fullday tour, where artists and musicians showcase their talents.
The Okanagan's Dirty Little Secret! Dirty Laundry - A Chinese immigrant came to Summerland in the early 1900's. After a hard labouring job on the railrods, he started a laundry service across from the yacht club. Upstairs of his laundry mat he ran a brothel - hence the name Dirty Laundry.
This winery recently opened up a serene patio where you can enjoy a picturesque picnic with their meats, cheeses and award winning wines.
We end our tour with La Frenz Winery, the most awarded Canadian winery in the 2010 Northwest Summit. The Northwest Summit is the Pacific Northwest's largest and most comprehensive wine show with over 1200 entries from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
